B.Com is a fundamental stream of study after +2. It is more a traditional course and plays a pivotal role in the economy of the country. With the component of COMPUTER APPLICATION attached with the general curriculum this course is and has always been a lucrative career option among students. Commerce as a discipline is not about facts per se; it is about principles that can be applied in different situations to obtain results. And every subject in Commerce, be it accountancy, business studies, macro economics or computer application know-how helps the student in strengthening different skills. The college provides excellent coaching with which the graduates may find immediate job placements in careers like Finance, Taxation and Accountancy.It is the basic qualification required for students who want to pursue CA or ICWA or CS. Though not a professional course it offers placements in various industries. Or more importantly, the student can go for Post Graduate Studies or can concentrate on other areas of immense prospects.
Any candidate who passed the Plus Two of the Higher Secondary Board of Kerala or other Board Examinations in any state recognized by the MG university and treated as equivalent to the Plus Two of the Higher Secondary Board in Kerala, with not less than 45% marks in aggregate, is eligible for admission. However, SC/ST, OBC and other eligible communities will be given relaxation as per University rules.
The Admission is 50% on Merit and 50% Under Management Quota.
